BlogNov Burnout

Well, apparently my 2-week writing phase has come and gone… It’s already been a few days since I last wrote anything for the blog, and I feel like I’m already running out of ideas… or at least I don’t have nearly as many ideas as when I started this whole thing.

Media is Imperfect

I was watching an older movie on DVD the other day, and started to notice all the little specks that flicker every frame, probably from when the film was transferred to digital. I couldn’t help but think that in general, when movies are transferred this way, some detail is always lost, and that’s just how it is.

Embarrassing

You keep using that word — I do not think it means what you think it means.

Blog Update: RSS Feed

Today, I finally added a proper RSS feed to the site! Turns out it was just as easy as copying and pasting an example feed, then making a couple modifications.

Why Watch Movies If You're Not Paying Attention?

On Halloween, I watched The Sixth Sense with some friends after going to the Haunted House. That is, emphasis on I watched The Sixth Sense. Everyone else just looked at their phones the whole time doing who knows what!

ƎNA: Dream BBQ

Last night, I played ENA: Dream BBQ for the first time, recommended by TNTeck1! It’s a sort of surreal adventure where you talk to a bunch of people and complete tasks. I got through the first chapter of the game (I think I got a bad ending), and it was incredible.

Back Up Your Files Before They Back Up You

Microsoft is getting on my nerves! Or at least one of their apps is… This time, its Phone Link.

Sportsball

Some win, some lose. What more is there to say?

Month Synesthesia

Recently, I watched this YouTube video on color associations that people have with months of the year. Before it got into the data, I took a second to think about what colors I associate with months (given the colors presented at the start of the video) and wrote them down here:

Behind on BlogNov

Unfortunately, the astute readers of this miniscule sliver of the internet may have noticed that I effectively failed my self proposed BlogNov challenge by not posting for the past 3 days. This brings great woe to my soul, and weighs heavily on my heart the thought of the disappointment such readers felt while refreshing their pages, checking for new posts, but alas: nothing.

A Small List Of All My Hobbies Ever

This list is in no particular order, other than the order that I think of them. In general, that means the list is more or less chronological.

Why Did I Stop Reading?

In elementary school and middle school, I used to read all the time. Mostly fiction, but also just whatever other books we got from the library that week. We used to go to the library just about every week to find new books. I used to work on all sorts of projects as well. One that comes to mind is origami. I knew the origami section in the library by heart. I even had the decimals for a couple sections I liked memorized so that I could find them quicker.

Komi Can't Communicate

“When a person has extreme social anxiety, they struggle to communicate with others. Bear in mind, they only struggle to form connections. It doesn’t mean they don’t want to.”

My Haunted House Experience

A couple of weeks ago (on Oct 14th), I visited my first haunted house! I really didn’t know what to expect, but after going through, I honestly think that the anticipation of what would happen was scarier than the actual attraction.

BlogNov 2025

November has just begun! That means that Novel November (or NovNov) has just begun as well! NovNov is basically a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel entirely within the month of November, starting at midnight (local time) November 1st, and ending before midnight (local time) December 1st.

I Heard This Story About A Fish

I heard this story about a fish…

He swims up to this older fish and says, “I’m trying to find this thing they call the ocean.”

“The ocean?”, says the older fish, “That’s what you’re in right now!”

“This?”, says the young fish, “This is water… What I want is the ocean.”

Halloween Again

I remember like it was yesterday, the fall of 2018

  Hopeful,         Fun, Spooky,       And gone.

A time of interest that has long since faded with betrayal and fear.

But that time was spent  exploring,  and these new, dark horizons

welcome me with comfort as I see them once more.

            I want to remember.

I want to have fun again.

          Happy  Spooky  Season.

Pressure? Hardly Know Her

Why do we (as a society) feel so pressured to hide who we are? God made us just the way He did for a divine purpose, and we need to live without being insecure about our random traits. Everyone has imperfections; GET OVER IT. Life is so much more fulfilling when you can forget about impressing others and just work towards your divine potential. Every single one of us are spirit children of God, and He is and always will be with us.

Escape Room + Tournament of Champions

Ok, I know I keep just making reviews of whatever movie I watched recently, but at least I’m writing something! (But seriously, YouTube free movies are just the best sometimes.)

Start Writing

Writing is hard. Everything has to be just perfect, except it really doesn’t.

Undermining Obsidian

Well…not really. More like finding ways around file syncing without needing a paid account.

Earth to Echo

It’s time for some more free movies on YouTube! This time, I saw that Earth to Echo is available!

I feel like nobody really talks about this movie, but for some reason I can always remember how cool I thought the trailers for it looked when I was younger. I didn’t watch the movie at the time though, so here I am 11 years later.

The NeverEnding Story

The NeverEnding Story is free on YouTube movies right now!!! As soon as I saw this, I had to watch it.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

Everything Everywhere All at Once has got to be one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. In fact, after watching it a few days ago I'd say it's easily made it into my top 3 movies, only rivaled by Inception and Interstellar. The pacing is great, the storytelling is phenomenal, the music is incredible, and the overall message is profound.

I bought a camera today.

It was a Christmas gift.

It was 19 days late...

Happy New Year 2025!

At long last, the blog is finally ready, just in time for the new year!

This year is extra special because 2025 is a perfect square, as well as the sum of the first 9 cubic numbers!
